Sessions consist of advice about online security, health insurance and general relationship guidelines
Terry Green, 75, had been hitched for 38 years, and it has had a few relationships since her divorce proceedings, but nothing has stuck when it comes to haul that is long.
The Kamloops resident, like many other seniors, has dipped her feet to the global realm of online dating sites, but has discovered that it’s not simple.
“You meet with the odd good one and they are very nice, and after that you have the scammers or even the men that are married are alot more enthusiastic about simply chatting simply because they’re lonely and it is difficult as of this age,” she stated.
“that you don’t desire to get into a term relationship that is short. The companionship is wanted by you up to whatever else.”
Green is not alone in her own experience, stated Catherine Schmidt, co-ordinator of adult services during the Thompson-Nicola Regional Library within the southern Interior town.
That is why Schmidt chose to introduce a program called Dating over 50, which begins Tuesday evening, in an attempt to assist those who are trying to find relationships or possibly simply companionship.
